Producer and Artist Highlight

  • Luiz Carlos Zanette

    This season's coffee comes from Sítio Serra e Leite, a family farm in Poços de Caldas, Brazil. The Zanette family has owned it for over a hundred years, since Luiz's grandparents left Italy in search of a better life. Luiz Carlos Zanette is 72 now and still runs it, growing specialty coffee on volcanic soil at 1,000 meters above sea level. Four awards in and counting.

  • Human Shaped Animal

    Rachel's work blends hand-shaped animal motifs with bold color and deliberate weight. A painter, installation artist, and longtime Santa Cruz resident, she's spent years exploring new expressions of line and emotion through mixed media. Her work has been shown in galleries and independent shops across the Bay Area.
